About

Cohabitat Sweetfern Cohousing, initiated in July 2017, is in the early stages of forming a group to develop a multigenerational cohousing community in the City of Greater Sudbury within the next three years. We have established our mission, vision and values, confirmed our membership and decision-making processes.

Cohousing is a planned residential community or neighbourhood that combines private homes with shared indoor and outdoor spaces that are designed to support an active, interdependent community life. Cohousing communities typically have 15 to 35 member households that share the work of developing and managing the community, buildings and common areas through committees.

Membership

Becoming a member with Cohabitat Sweetfern Cohousing is a process of progressing through the various membership levels.

The membership level definitions are dependent on Sweetfern’s own journey to becoming a Cohousing Community in it’s own right.
